Hi there!
I wanted to send an update out with how I've been doing and what's happening moving forward. 🩷
In case you missed it, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June and at the end of July underwent surgery. I have officially finished radiation therapy and will be starting hormone therapy medication in a few weeks...
Life has been a blur all summer of appointments, recovery, treatments and just pure exhaustion.
While I am back in the salon, it will look a bit different for a while.
I will be reducing my hours for the next 2 months to support my recovery further and reduce the demand on my body. I may be reaching out to some to reschedule your existing appointments. If you know me, you know this is not something I do lightly. However, I have to adopt a new pace to this new chapter.
If you are in need of scheduling an appointment, I would recommend doing so sooner than later. If you find nothing available when you look, PLEASE add yourself to my waitlist!
I can't thank you enough for your support during this journey. I have been humbled by the outpouring of love and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Update from my couch!

Hey there! I just wanted to quickly update you regarding my diagnosis and surgery.....

My surgery was on July 29 and the tumor removal went well, however we also found that it had spread to my lymph nodes. Oncology appointments are next week and my treatment plan will be developed then. I'll keep you posted as it may impact my availability.
I will be returning to the salon next week and look forward to seeing you!

Hey there. This isn't the post I expected to write, but transparency and connection matter to me, so here it is.
On June 12th, I was diagnosed with a rare type of breast cancer. My healthcare team moved fast — imaging within days — and I'm now waiting on a call to schedule surgery, followed by radiation. My team has high confidence this will be straightforward and complete.
I'll be adjusting my schedule to make room for this. To everyone I've had to reschedule (some of you more than once) — thank you for your patience. That's never easy for me.
This diagnosis has hit me on every level — mentally, physically, emotionally. I have incredible support and I'm working to keep my mind strong. And it still scares the hell out of me. It still sucks. My priorities reorganized the moment I heard "you have breast cancer." I'm learning how to receive help, how to ask for it, how to surrender — the hardest and most amazing lesson yet.
I'm not sharing this for pity. This is part of my story, not the whole thing. I'm sharing it out of love, out of gratitude for the time we've spent together, and because I believe something good can come from this.
I will be back. This isn't goodbye — just a pause while I listen to what my body needs. When I see you again, I'll be full of gratitude for this whole experience. Being alive means showing up for the highs and the lows. And I get to be here.

It feels like we were just celebrating the holidays anod somehow it's nearly Valentine's Day! So, I'm popping in to wish you a lovely lil holiday. ❤️

On the 18th, I will be celebrating my 52nd birthday with a day off in the mountains (come on snow!!) so next week is a short schedule.
