This week as been all my beautiful brunettes that are due for their toner/gloss refresher. I am just in “ahh” with the shine every time!

Why would you choose no bleach highlights as a brunette?
(AKA: Hi-lift color)

This is an opinion if you are looking to add soft sun kissed dimension.
Your hair will experience less damage compared to traditional bleach. Along with a soft grow out while working with your natural undertones as a brunette.

No bleach highlights work best for hair that is natural and has NO previous color.

Tips for caring for DARK HAIR!

1⃣ If you’re a brunette, you may have noticed that your split ends are more apparent than they are for lighter hair. This is because the darker color can make the little white dots that are indicative of split ends more visible. Regular trims are recommended to keep your hair looking healthy and prevent split ends from continuing to break.

2⃣ In addition to getting trims, hydrating dark hair can also help to keep it looking shiny and healthy. Look for products that are specifically designed to add moisture, like deep conditioners or a leave-in treatment like Living Proof Restore Perfecting Spray. These can help to smooth the hair shaft and add tons of shine.

3⃣ Protecting your dark hair from the sun is also important in preventing brassiness on natural brunettes and color fading on salon created dark hues. Using styling products with UV filters daily help protect your chocolate tresses from regular sun exposure. The weather is warming up so that means biking, hiking, and lake trips for a lot of Coloradans- in addition to UV filters in your haircare, make sure to wear a hat during prolonged fun in the sun.

I certainly underestimated the extent of this transformation!

My guest was prepared for a significant change!

And it was! This was a 6-hour transformation! Yes, you heard that right—6 hours!

I made the mistake of assuming it would take 4.5 hours. I am incredibly grateful that she stuck it out with me! Her hair turned out stunning, and despite all the lightning I did, it remains beautiful, shiny, and healthy. This is always one of my top priorities when lightening my guests’ hair!
