If you haven’t seen or heard about slugging you must be living under a rock! This trend has been popular for the past couple of years, but is it right for you? While there are amazing benefits to slugging (see above in pic), it isn’t for all skin types. If you are prone to acne/breakouts, slathering your face with Vaseline or Aquaphor isn’t the best idea as it can trap facial oil and cause breakouts. It should also never be used to force actives into your skin (retinoids, vitamin c, acids, etc). The best way to know if you should be slugging?? Give it a try! But remember to use a pea size amount of the occlusive. It doesn’t need to be piled up all over your face to be effective. As per usual, less is more!! Has anyone tried slugging?
