After much deliberation I have made the decision that for the time being I am going to close my shop indefinitely. I didn’t come to this choice easily but with all the uncertainty that 2020 and now this year has brought I felt this was the best choice for me,my family and customers. That said I want all the customers that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years(almost 2 decades for some)to know I have appreciated each and every one of you. You have not only been a client but an extension to my family. You will all hold a special place in my heart/life and who knows I may decide to re open but don’t want anyone to feel obligated to return. I wish you all the best. Stay happy and healthy.
With Covid on the rise in our area I have decided to shut down the shop until we are closer to the green than red. I hope you will understand but this is for your safety and mine because social distancing is not an option in this profession and I want to be able to have a safe Christmas with my family. Thanks for your understanding and be safe.
Please Cuzzart Cutz customers with the recent “outbreak” in Preston county I urge you to cancel if you have been exposed or if you have somebody high risk close to you etc. I would rather reschedule then put my family or
Yours at risk. If I have been exposed in any way I will have to quarantine

Cuzzart Cutz guidelines upon reopening
(These will be posted at the salon as well and could change due to regulations of the wvbbc)
Upon reopen I will be doing hair by appointment only.
-1 customer In the building at a time. If you arrive early and see there is a customer in the building please wait in your car until I am ready for you(previous customer has exited and I have sanitized all surfaces and equipment)
-masks/coverings are not provided but recommended(I will be wearing one for your protection but do not have extra to supply for you) *if getting a color you may get color on the mask
-please do not come if you are or have been sick within the last 14 days or if you have been in contact with someone who has been contaminated(for your safety and mine please reschedule)
-I have the right to refuse service if I feel it is unsafe
-I have the right to cancel/reschedule all appointments should there be a contamination or a spike in numbers and I feel it’s unsafe for my family or yours
The State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologist has many guidelines and recommendations in which I will follow. I however will not be providing masks, taking temperature, making parents wait in vehicles. I will provide hand sanitizer when it is available and will always have soap and water in the restroom for proper hand sanitation. I will be sure to sanitize/disinfect all surfaces/equipment between every customer but can’t be held liable for any airborne contamination but my goal will be to take every measure possible to ensure we are all kept safe. If I feel my shop Or myself have been exposed I WILL NOT expose you or your family. I appreciate everyone’s patience and am looking forward to seeing you!!
If you have contacted me about me a hair appointment I will be messaging you this week about scheduling in the near future. This week I am prepping and sanatizing my shop for re-opening.
I have received guidelines from the state board of cosmetology about reopening. I decided to take next week for scheduling and sanitation(I will be contacting the ones who have already reached out soon) There are many “rules/recommendations” for everyone’s safety. In the next few days I will be posting them but I feel being a private owned salon I won’t have to be as “aggressive” as some of the high traffic salons. Thanks for your patience and I love you all.
I am still waiting on guidelines from the WVboard because that is our boss and there will be protocols that will need to be followed upon reopening. That said I seriously doubt I will be ready to reopen next week but perhaps able to set up appointments at least.
As per government regulations, Cuzzart Cutz is still not taking appointments at this time. When the official stay at home order is lifted and I get an official safe to open date, we will begin the process of reopening with the safety standards set from the WVBBC. As soon as all this comes to pass I will begin contacting clients and scheduling. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
With much consideration I have decided to temporarily close the shop until it’s safe for me and my customers(there is no such thing as distancing doing a haircut lol) stay safe and love you all
