The loveliest angel set for the loveliest client 🤍

Filled this time using the angel pre-mades in black in B (7-11) and C (12-14) 🖤

There’s honestly nothing like a true black-out mega volume set 🖤

Contrary to what one may think, they’re actually my favorite to create from a technical standpoint 👀 They don’t require as much from me mentally, so I’m able to just sit back, relax, chit-chat, and shimmy my lil heart out 💃😌✨ I have myself a grand ol’ time, every time 🙌🏽

The Ultra Dark collection (AKA literal BUTTER 🧈) is my all-time favorite fiber for… quite literally anything; but especially for these high-impact mega volume looks 🖤 These are 10-15mm .03s in C!

This style is pretty out of my comfort zone and something I’ve never actually attempted, but I’m kind of in love w it?? (As is my lovely Heather 🫶🏽) I always love a challenge! 😈 What do we think?!

I have plenty of wispy girls and a few mega girls, but this queen is actually my only light, fluffy volume girlie 🥹 I love getting to go old school w her:

🤍 lonely fanning is my favorite method for a set like this bc not only is symmetry extra important, but when working w super fine diameters in such low dimensions — .03 4-7D wide fans — the shimmy can get a lil tricky/messy given the uber tiny fiber bundle and its interaction w adhesive, plus the nature of the ultra fine fibers themselves. I loveeee me the shimmy, but it’s always a nice change of pace, a true test of Russian artistry, and a lovely trip down memory lane when the lonely fan needs to be whipped out — it was the first fanning method I learned 🥹
🤍 she despises anything wispy, so she’s opted for uniformity since the beginning; but this time, she specifically wanted fluffy fluffy, so instead of layering, we just went for it. I’ve personally layered for every style and set since the start of my career, but I’ve recently been letting loose a bit with my fluffier sets and while it goes against everything I’ve engrained in myself as an artist… it’s been quite rewarding; especially when the results are as nice as this ◡̈

Said niceness is due mainly to the beautiful .03s in the shade Beach Bronze!!! 🏖️☀️🥥🌴🤎 Obsessed is an absolute understatement when it comes to working with these (we used C curl in lengths 10-15 in a doll eye mapping) and I can’t thank you enough for letting me try them out, Erica!! 😘🫶🏽 They’re easily some of the best brownies (and lashes, period!) that I’ve ever used 🙌🏽

Every time this year that I’ve heard “these are the best lashes I’ve ever had” (from this beauty included), my heart has exploded 🥲 Don’t know how I’m still alive, truly; I just know that I’m endlessly grateful to be able to sit in my lil corner of the world doing what I love for the people I love, day in and day out. Thank you so much, beautiful besties, for making this year the loveliest, most rewarding yet 🫶🏽

Here’s a lil aphrodite/anime blend created w .lashclub .07 J and .03 I lashes 🖤

Aphrodite half set in dark brown 🧸 Walk with me as we chat a little bit about the progression of this set 💁🏽‍♀️

Once upon a time, this lovely client of mine came in looking for a set that would emulate the look of a lash lift. (The last slide is what we came up with — a brown angel half set 👼🏻💫) Now 𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, when working on deeper-set eyes like hers, I recommend keeping everything short n sweet; but because she was specifically interested in matching the length of her natural lashes, which are stunningly long, we went long from the very beginning! 🌻 She loved her initial set, but over time, she found herself pondering about wearing something darker in color 👀🌈

🖤 If we had gone darker, we would have begun a transition to black; and while we absolutely could have done it, we feared that it would be a bit harsh against her features. Instead, we opted for creating more darkness by adding more fibers to each pick-up! Fast forward a few months and another request for even a tiny bit ~more~ density, and this is the set she ecstatically wears today 🥰🙌🏽

📖 Moral of the story? Chatting with your clients about their specific 𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭 with their lashes when working out any adjustments is crucial. Ultimately, she was interested in something bolder than what she wore initially, but that was still soft enough to look “natural.” Deepening the brown allowed us to do just that 😌

We as the artists are the experts, so sometimes it’s up to us to guide our clients in the right direction if it seems like they may be unsure. That said, it’s also extremely important to communicate things in a way that is conversational and merely suggestive; never demanding, because at the end of the day, it’s also up to us to give the client exactly what they want! If my client knew that she wanted black, I would have given it to her in a heartbeat; but because her cadence told me she wasn’t 100%, we talked about it, and this was the result!

🔮 Being able to read clients is a huge part of what we do; especially because the language surrounding lashes is not universal! Always remember that communication is key 🔑✨
