We believe people were created for relationship—and we also know relationships can be complicated.
Soulfully Connected Counseling is a Christian-based counseling practice. For clients who desire it, faith can be thoughtfully incorporated into counseling when appropriate to their goals and needs.
Our role is not to preach or provide pastoral counseling. It is to offer professional counseling in a setting where Christian faith can be respected as an important part of who you are.

Grief does not always bring couples closer automatically.
Two people can experience the same loss and need very different things. Those differences can create distance at a time when both people are already hurting.
If grief is affecting your relationship, couples counseling can provide a place to understand one another without requiring you to grieve the same way.

Sometimes we minimize what we're experiencing because we've gotten so used to pushing through it.
But the phrases we repeat can give us clues about what is happening underneath.
Which one have you caught yourself saying lately—A, B, C or D?

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.
Conversations about su***de can feel difficult, but silence can make isolation even heavier. Checking in, listening without judgment, and helping someone connect with appropriate support can matter.
If you or someone you know is in crisis in the U.S., call or text 988. If there is immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Save this resource, and share it so someone else has it when they need it.

This Labor Day, we hope you find a little space to step away from the doing and simply be.
Rest can look different for each of us—quiet, connection, time outside, laughter, or simply having fewer demands for a day.
Whatever rest looks like for you today, we hope it leaves you feeling a little more restored. 🩵
Happy Labor Day from Soulfully Connected Counseling.

Fall has a way of filling the calendar before we realize how much we are carrying.
New school routines, activities, work demands, and family responsibilities can create a steady sense of pressure—even when life looks “fine” from the outside.
If you have been feeling more overwhelmed, irritable, exhausted, or unlike yourself lately, it may be worth paying attention.
If you have been wondering whether counseling could help, Soulfully Connected Counseling would be happy to answer your questions.

Sometimes the first sign that something needs to change isn't a crisis.
It may simply be noticing that a pattern, relationship, routine, or way of coping isn't working the way it once did.
You don't have to know exactly what needs to change before you begin paying attention to it.
What's something you've been noticing lately?

Help us welcome Carson Petocz to Soulfully Connected Counseling! 🩵
Carson is joining our team as a Student Counselor Intern, and we're so excited to have him!
Carson has a special interest in working with teens and adults navigating shame, identity, purpose, and relationships. His years working with teens as a camp director taught him the importance of taking seriously what young people are carrying.
He also brings a unique understanding of the first responder community. Carson volunteered as an EMT during the COVID pandemic, and with a first responder in his own family, he has a heart for supporting those who regularly carry the weight of difficult experiences.
Carson hopes to create a space where clients can be honest about what they're carrying and experience new freedom and hope.
We're so glad to have Carson on our team! Help us welcome him with a 🩵 below!
