Hi guys, it’s Kenzie here 🥰 today marks SIX months of House of Strands being open!!

The first words that come to mind are honestly holy s**t.. I own a salon. And how grateful I am for this space. Two very different emotions haha!

If you asked me 6 years ago when I finished hair school if I ever wanted to own a salon, I probably would’ve laughed and said no. I didn’t want to manage people. But that’s actually exactly why House of Strands works. It’s a booth rental salon where stylists get to run their own business, be themselves, and create beautiful hair in a space that was built with so much intention.

Opening this space has brought me so much joy. I love the way it feels when I walk in and how it’s become a place where creativity, community, and pretty hair all come together. I’m so thankful for every client who has walked through these doors and for all the support along the way, from coming to the grand opening party, to sharing posts, to cheering this dream of mine on. 🫶🏼

So whether you’ve been a client here, a past client, or someone who hopes to visit someday all I can say is thank you for being here and being part of this journey! I wanted this space to feel cozy, homey, and inspiring, and for the last 6 months it truly has been. Thank you for supporting my small business and this dream 🤍

I have a hundred things I want to say, but honestly I am exhausted, fulfilled, and incredibly grateful. Every year somehow gets better and better, even on the days it takes a little more to show up. I feel so blessed to do a job I truly love, one that challenges me, stretches me, and fills my cup all at once.

This year brought new beginnings in my personal life (a new home & a third dog!!) and the opening of House of Strands, something I poured my whole heart into. 2025 was uncomfortable, demanding, and so rewarding. Truly one hell of a year. I’m not sure how next year could possibly top it, but I’m excited to try.

Most of all and I say this all the time, THANK YOU. Thank you for the support, the trust, and for always coming back and sitting in my chair. I wouldn’t be here without you.
