There’s obviously many benefits but it’s the greatest feeling ever when you’re not phased by the kids tantrums and arguing about kid stuff and you’re able to stay calm and “sane!”

For a long time, I felt paralyzed—unable to move forward. I was battling slight postpartum depression, healing from a toxic relationship that spanned over a decade, and learning to navigate life as a single parent. I spent a year rediscovering myself, uncovering who I was as an individual, what I wanted, and what I didn’t.

It wasn’t easy. Fear held me back, and I had no idea what the future held. Raising kids alone, juggling tantrums, chaos, and the financial weight of it all—it was overwhelming. I often compared myself to others, questioning if I was enough. But one thing I never let go of was hope.

Through all the struggles, my grandmother’s words echoed in my mind: “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” And she was right. Each challenge taught me resilience and gave me purpose.

One day, I realized something: I couldn’t pour into my family and others unless I first took care of myself. That’s when I began prioritizing my mental wellness—and it changed everything.

This journey led me to Amare, a company that shares my passion for mental health and wellness. Now, I’m not just taking care of my own health, but I’m also helping others find the strength and balance they deserve.

Our Precious had babies last week during the crazy snow storms. I had never witnessed firsthand the birth of kittens and I’m truly grateful for Precious for allowing me to help be her support!! She needed comfort and she didn’t really know what was going on and I can confirm that by the shocked look she gave after the babies came out. Yall, she hugged my arm during the tough moments and actually kept pawing my son’s hand as if gripping it to hold. She’s an amazing Momma and yes she’s camped out right at the end of my bed🐈‍⬛

I truly didn’t understand the meaning of this until I went in person to national training for Pure Romance. Yeah I knew what it meant but I didn’t really believe in this until I went to Cincinnati last weekend. I had so many women ask me how I was doing and most importantly if I needed help…. I struggle asking for help! ( I’m so hard on myself and have to relax because the truth is we all need help with something.)
