Meal Prep Sunday:

Did you know eating out could increase your caloric intake by 20% or more. Yes, You could prefer the same meal out as what you had prepped at home and be over your caloric intake… because at home you may not use oil or butter, at the restaurant they may. At home you can measure your servings and portion portions, eating a meal out easily can exceed 1 or 2 servings in one meal. It is beneficial to plan/prep meals at home, as well as eating out .

Did you know we also have vegan/ plant based meal plan guides? Make sure you mention it to your coach if you are interested or have currently made any dietary changes recently.

Coach Candice here, yes growing up I was an athlete but.... I was very malnurished. If I knew what I know now, my athletic performance would have adored greatly. I always worked out but lacked nutrition. As soon as I added the 80% (nutrition) to the 20% (fitness) I gained muscle and the results I truly desired.

This is a great looking carb meal. Remember vegetables are still considered carbs. This would be a great choice for dinner. After dinner you become inactive as you prepare for bed. Consume high carb meals earlier in the day when you will utilize the calories for energy during activity.

Spiced Apple Protein Muffins

Serves: 9 Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
2 scoops Herbalife Formula 1 Spiced Apple
100 g rolled oats
60 g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
30 g dried apple, chopped
2 flax eggs (2 tbsp flaxseed mixed with 1 tbsp water and set aside to thicken)
200 ml almond milk
1 tbsp agave nectar
½ tsp vanilla essence

Method:
Preheat your oven to 180 C.
Mix the Herbalife Formula 1 Spiced Apple, oats, flour, baking powder & dried apple. Add the flax eggs, almond milk, agave nectar, and vanilla essence and mix until combined.

Line a muffin tray with 9 cupcake cases and divide the mixture between each case. Transfer to the oven and back for 15 minutes, or until golden.

Carbohydrate - 18.18 g
Sugars - 4.19 g
Fibre - 2.73 g
Protein - 3.73 g

Chocolate and Coconut Protein Fudge
Serves: 12
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: N/A

Ingredients:
3 scoops Herbalife Formula 1 Chocolate
15 g cocoa powder
60 g coconut oil
60 g full-fat coconut milk
60 g raisins
1 tbsp dessicated coconut

Method:
Combine the Herbalife Formula 1 Chocolate, cocoa powder, coconut oil, full-fat coconut milk and raisins in to a food processor and blend until smooth.

Line a small baking dish with cling film and transfer the mixture to the dish, smoothing down to create an even layer. Sprinkled with dessicated coconut and transfer to the freezer to set for 30 minutes before slicing.
