I created my own Oval Progression Loc Count Chart to give clients a clearer visual of how loc size, sectioning, and approximate loc count work together.

Large. Medium. Small.
Each size follows a progressive sectioning system designed to create balance and consistency throughout the head.

This chart works best as a guide for high-density, kinky/coily loose natural hair, where the density and texture provide the foundation needed to support this type of loc placement and sizing.

Loc counts are approximate—not guaranteed. Head size, density, hairline, and individual hair characteristics will always determine the final count.

This is more than picking a size.
