Think of your skin barrier as the protective layer standing between your skin and everything it encounters each day: weather, products, stress, even the water you wash with. When it’s working well, you don’t think about it much. Skin feels comfortable, calm, and balanced.

When it’s compromised, you’ll usually feel it before you see it: tightness, redness, sensitivity, or skin that reacts to things it never used to. A stressed barrier is something to listen to. And understanding what’s going on underneath is the first step toward caring for it properly.
