It's My Day Spa and Salon

Hi everyone, I just want to share a little story with you about. It’s my Day Spa and Salon . For most of my life I always worked for someone else. I went to cosmetology school in 1986. I mainly did hair after that, but didn’t feel that I was completely fulfilled in my career so I decided to go to college for dental hygiene and I was a dental assistant for many years. I always cut hair. I never stopped. I stayed home and raised my kids for quite some time and when I decided to go back to work, I really loved the Spa industry. I worked for a major Spa in Vermont and worked my way up to a manager position. I was so passionate about my work and making others happy I would sometimes daydream of having my own place. I thought about all the things that I would do differently. My husband pushed me because he knew how unhappy I was. He helped me to open up my spa. The name Its My Day Spa is both for myself (I finally got to open my own spa. ) And also my clients for how I wanted them to feel when they were at my Spa. My mom died in 2016. It was a huge loss for me. I realized life was short. I was getting close to 50 so it was now or never. My husband was amazing. He believed in me and told me I could do it and together in 2018 we opened up It’s My Day Spa and Salon! I was both extremely excited and very fearful. I wanted it to be successful. For almost 2 years I worked 2 jobs . Thank you to all my clients who have made my spa a success. These past eight years have been so amazing. I appreciate everyone of you. I have been blessed in so many ways. I surprised my sisters. I didn’t tell them anything about the Spa until I opened. It was the biggest surprise of all. I’m going to share the video with you because it makes me smile and cry at the same time . I wish my mom was here to see the spa . She would be so proud of me.!
