I’m a hairstylist—not an influencer—and honestly, trying to be both can feel exhausting. 🖤

Sometimes I forget to take before-and-after photos. Sometimes I forget to film a video for TikTok. Most of the time, I’m simply focused on the client in my chair and creating hair they genuinely love.

On top of working behind the chair, running a small business, and trying to keep up with social media, I’m also a mom to two toddlers. Not every appointment becomes content, and not every beautiful result makes it onto my page—and that’s okay.

I’ve been in this industry for 10 years, and I refuse to let social media convince me that my success is measured by how often I post or how many followers I have. I want to be my authentic self, create amazing hair, and provide a safe, welcoming space for my clients.

And to the newer stylists: please don’t mentally burn yourself out trying to keep up with social media content. Your value as a stylist isn’t determined by views, likes, followers, or how frequently you post. Focus on learning, improving your craft, building genuine relationships, and taking care of yourself. Social media is a tool—not a measure of your talent or success.
