Hi there,
We wanted to let you know that Vera Studio is transitioning to a new scheduling platform. This change will make it easier to complete intake forms and help us keep medical records organized, secure, and up to date.
We’re doing everything we can to make the transition as smooth as possible, though there may be a few small hiccups along the way. You may notice slight changes to our booking process, appointment notifications, or intake forms as we get everything settled.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during this transition! If you experience any issues or have questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always happy to help.
Warmly,
The Vera Studio Team

We're excited to share something new from our herbal apothecary: Nerve Ease, an herbal salve blending St. John's Wort and Yarrow, now available at the studio.
St. John's Wort has a long history in herbal medicine as a topical support for nerve-related discomfort — think sciatica, shingles nerve pain, and the lingering tenderness that can follow a deep tissue session. Herbalists have used it for generations to ease nerve irritation and soothe inflamed tissue, and modern research has started to explore how its compounds may help calm overactive pain signaling at the source.
Yarrow brings its own gifts to the blend. It's traditionally prized for supporting circulation and easing bruising, and several studies have looked at its ability to calm redness, swelling, and tenderness in the skin — making it a natural partner for any post-massage soreness or those inevitable little bruises that can show up after firmer work.
You'll notice the deep, garnet-red color of the oil in this salve — that's not dye or added color, that's the plant doing its thing. When St. John's Wort flowers are infused in oil with proper extraction techniques, the hypericin in the plant converts and deepens to that rich red, which is exactly the compound most associated with its nerve-calming, anti-inflammatory properties. The deeper the red, the more fully extracted — and therefore more potent — the oil.
Kris wildcrafts the St. John's Wort and Yarrow herself and hand-extracts every batch, which means this salve carries a strength and freshness you won't find in most commercial versions sitting on a shelf for who-knows-how-long. It's a small-batch, hands-in-the-dirt kind of medicine.
Together, this pair makes Nerve Ease a lovely addition to your self-care routine between visits — whether you're managing chronic nerve discomfort, recovering from a deep tissue session, or just want something soothing on hand for sore, overworked muscles.
Pick up a jar at your next visit — or stop by Thursdays, 11am–2pm, to talk with Kris directly about it.
Warmly,
The Vera Team

Dr Kaylee is offering unparalleled chiropractic care at Vera Studio and we are beyond thrilled. Visit our website to book with her.

We want to take a moment to talk about Dr. Kaylee — because she's kind of a gem, and we think you should know why.
If you've ever left a chiropractor feeling like you were on a conveyor belt, her approach is going to feel like a breath of fresh air.
Many chiropractic clinics require an initial exam, run you through a series of expensive machines, and put together an elaborate treatment plan, offering very little face time with your chiropractor — all of it structured around maximizing the ability to bill your insurance rather than center your experience as a person needing help.
Dr. Kaylee's approach is the opposite. She is hands-on, attentive, and personal from the moment you walk in. No machines. No assembly line. And the best part? No pressure to get neck adjustments.
Your appointment happens behind a closed door, with her full attention, and thorough care — including soft tissue work, cupping, stretching, kinesiology taping, and hip and pelvic work depending on what your body needs.
Unlike many practices, Kaylee will adjust you on day one. And when you leave, you'll have exercises, stretches, and tools specific to your body — so you're supported between visits and not dependent on frequent appointments to maintain results. She's not built around volume. She's built around doing her job well.
________________
On pricing: While Kaylee does not bill insurance, for a little more than a typical co-pay you'd get with your insurance plan, you get double the time with your practitioner, no machines, and her undivided attention.

That tension in your neck, jaw, or low back — the kind that keeps coming back no matter what you do — often has roots that standard massage doesn't reach.
Craniosacral therapy works differently.
Using an incredibly light touch, your practitioner listens to subtle rhythms in the body and helps release tension held deep in the tissues surrounding the brain and spinal cord. It sounds subtle, but the results often aren't.
Clients frequently describe it as dropping into the deepest rest they've had in years — and walking out feeling lighter than they have in a long time. Matt has over 30 years of experience in this work.
Sessions at Vera are slow, quiet, and completely at your pace.
With care,

WHERE THE BODY STORES EMOTION
1. Kidneys → fear and survival stress
Many traditions believe prolonged fear, insecurity, and survival-based stress quietly exhaust the body over time.
2. Stomach → anxiety and emotional overwhelm
The stomach often reacts when life feels too heavy to process. Stress, worry, and emotional tension commonly appear through digestion issues or tightness.
3. Lower Back → lack of support and financial stress
Many people carry pressure about stability, responsibility, survival, and security deep within the lower back.
4. Eyes → avoided truths and fear of the future
Sometimes people struggle not because they cannot see… but because emotionally they fear what they already know deep down.
5. Ears → ignored intuition and inner conflict
Emotional tension can grow when people constantly silence their inner voice or avoid difficult truths they need to hear.
6. Skin → emotional overload and weak boundaries
The skin often reacts during stress, anxiety, emotional pressure, or environments that feel emotionally unsafe.
7. Feet → fear of grounding and instability
Feeling disconnected from life, direction, identity, or stability can create emotional unease that affects the body deeply.
8. Shoulders → carrying emotional burdens
Many people unconsciously carry responsibility, pressure, guilt, and emotional weight through shoulder tension.
9. Heart and chest → grief and unexpressed emotions
Heartbreak, sadness, loneliness, anxiety, and emotional pain are often physically felt in the chest long before words can explain them.
The body remembers what the mind tries to suppress.
Stress, grief, fear, anger, trauma, and emotional pain do not always disappear simply because they are ignored.
Sometimes they quietly speak through exhaustion, tension, illness, tightness, fatigue, or discomfort instead.
Healing is not only mental.
It is physical, emotional, and spiritual too.
Rest more.
Breathe deeper.
Speak your feelings honestly.
Protect your peace.
Listen carefully to what your body has been trying to tell you.

Why Chiropractic Gives Everyone the Ick (A Chiropractor Explains) Chiropractic has a reputation problem. Not a PR problem — an actual, earned, fully-deserved reputation problem. The ick is real on both sides of the table. Patients have their list. Chiropractors have theirs. And if you read both carefully, most of it traces back to the same root cause. This is no...
