September 11th has always felt different to me.

It was my first week of second grade, I unfortunately remember that day vividly, 25 years later.

Being from New York i had friends being pulled out of class because they unknowingly lost their loved ones, while three of my uncles were somehow spared. We sat together and watched the news. LIVE. we were seven/eight.

I was too young then to fully understand the weight of that day. But the older i get the more i feel it. I don’t feel lucky to have my uncle tell me his first hand experience but i am thankful he made it out safely and is able to talk about that tragic event. Every story i read, even if i read it 8 times before, of any passanger, worker, first responder, or a civilian on side walk, i will never pass up the opportunity to remember those who never made it home/to their destination. As hard and as sad as it is, we must remember them all.

I ask everyone to please, pause at each moment of silence with me and remember the lives lost, the families changed forever, and the people who made it home.

• 8:46 AM — Flight 11 struck the North Tower
• 9:03 AM — Flight 175 struck the South Tower
• 9:37 AM — Flight 77 struck the Pentagon
• 9:59 AM — South Tower collapsed
• 10:03 AM — Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania
• 10:28 AM — North Tower collapsed

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🕊️

loving our new extensions with a fresh rainbow 🌈

Today is more than a long weekend, a cookout, or a day off.

Today we honor the heroes who never got the chance to come home, grow old, hold their families again, or live the life they fought to protect for the rest of us.

Memorial Day is a reminder that freedom comes at a cost.
Paid for by the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

May we never forget them. ❤️🤍💙
