This one made me cry for sure.

Some of my girlies I have been with for years now. Being able to watch them from the sidelines go through life’s biggest moments is one of the more special parts of this job (if we can even call it a ‘job’).

I have said it before and I will say it again, succeeding in this industry is more than banging out bomb hair. It’s friendship, it’s passion, it’s laughing our asses off together.

Haircuts - let’s talk about them.

✂️They are important for many reason, as one would guess they do keep the hair healthy. Cutting or even dusting off those split ends will allow and promote hair growth. Allowing for all over healthier hair.

✂️Even the smallest trim or dusting will give shape back to your face. Those hanging pieces in the front (you know the ones) will get a little life back.

✂️A lil trim will go a long way in improving your over all hair texture. Less tangles, less knots that you wind up ripping through and less frizz. It just makes things a bit more manageable.

✂️Regular trims means less breakage from heat styling (also like use heat protectant plz) and other elements that contribute to damaged hair.

With all that being said, I don’t like getting my hair cut. However, 2024 one of my goals is to add consistent trims to my self care list.

◦ A letter to the bride •
To my dearest Dana, I have had the pleasure of being your friend for most of my life. You have become an extraordinary woman and I think anyone who knows you can agree to that. You are kind, so very kind. Intelligent, funny, hilarious in fact. You crushed the MySpace game better than anyone I knew. You are creative; you have been since we were young. When I think of you, I think of summer. I think of running around your neighborhood, I think of going upstairs playing The Sims for hours, or settling deeply into the love sac chair to eat snacks. I think of playing DDR and watching high school musical the first day it aired on TV together. I think of going to the beach in high school, summer concerts, swimming in dad’s pool. I think of the nights we used to babysit my brother and you taught him that your name was “god” not dana.
I could go on and on about who you are and what you mean to me. As we got older, you were one person who never failed to check in on me. The day you asked me to be part of your wedding was one of the most special moments. That is until I showed up to your venue in Maine and hugged each one of your family members, who felt like my family. Mum & dad, Lauren, Liz, PJ and most importantly you. Thank you from the depths of my heart for allowing me to be there, for allowing me to see you as a bride. I love you yesterday, today, tomorrow & always.

-What an incredible experience it was to collaborate with one of my closest friends on her wedding day! Working with Jen was an absolute pleasure.
-We wanted to make sure she had the perfect look for her special day, so we decided to go for not just one, but two stunning hairstyles.
-During her trial, Jen initially envisioned her hair mostly down, but I suggested trying a second look as well. I always encourage my clients to experiment during trials, especially if they’re unsure or open to different options. It’s all about finding the style that truly speaks to them. And in Jen’s case, she fell in love with both looks!
-We started with a gorgeous half up half down style, which later effortlessly transformed into a beautiful boho messy bun just in time for her to hit the dance floor.
Knowing Jen’s love for dancing, it was important that her hairstyle was beautiful yet secure.
-It was an unforgettable day filled with joy, laughter, and of course, lots of dancing! Love you 🤍
