Years ago, when Nina was still living at home, attending high school and doing teen things, I would do her and her sisters hair. Their Mama is a favorite regular of mine. Nina is a true Bohemian Goddess. Sweet, soft and kind, with a twinkle in her eye that gives away her zest for life. She’s a change maker of the world, teaching children the importance of journalism in an area of the country where having an unpopular opinion isn’t encouraged… and now she’s married to her best friend, Jack! 💗 I was honored to be there, basking in the excitement and love while helping everyone get ready. 💗 Thank you for trusting me with your vision. I had the privilege of spending some one on one time with Michelle Patton] while I was in Portland this past week. She has been one of few stylist/educators who I have felt deeply inspired by in my 18+ year career, and I was so blissed out after my crown chakra healing and amazing razor cut by her. 💗 We chatted about what it feels like to be aligned with our higher selves vs. our egos, what it means to lift people up energetically and to see what beauty is to us individually vs. what the magazines/society try to tell us beauty is. That our hair holds our story, our literal ancestral DNA, and water holds and releases our emotions, and the shapes we create in cutting hair are truly sacred geometry… woah. I’ve always believed that what I do is bigger than making people pretty, or even making people feel good….. ✨ Michelle has seamlessly integrated her spiritual practices into her work as a hairstylist and I loved my entire experience 💗 Thank you Michelle Patton], you are a gift to the industry and to the world 🙏🏼💓
