In 2017 when I opened the doors of Meraki Studio of Beauty I had a vision greater than my reality . When I chose the name “Meraki”, it was for the meaning of the word. Meraki is a Greek word that conveys the essence of putting your soul, creativity, and love into your work. It describes the act of doing something with passion, devotion, and a sense of absolute presence. When I chose the phrase “Studio of Beauty” it was because I knew that I wanted to offer more than hair services. These decisions were made by faith, not by sight.

I was determined to create an environment focused more on building and working together, than competing which is difficult to do in a competitive industry. Especially after Covid, when working alone, literally became safer than working together. Today my heart is full as Meraki still stands and serve as a hub of business owners that have grasped the ability to shine bright together without the desire to diminish one another’s light.

I have always worked hard to create a warm atmosphere that made clients feel comfortable and provide customer service they made them feel valued. I’m blessed to work in an environment that facilitates growth and exercises giving back. I am so grateful that all of these things have come to fruition. Today Meraki Studio of Beauty is the home of like-minded business owners working side-by-side focused on growth while cross marketing, networking, and promoting and still executing personal goals. This has definitely been a faith walk, not a cakewalk. In 2017 there was no grand opening. In 2020 we relocated and celebrated with a grand opening, but no official ribbon-cutting.

None of this would have been possible, without the support from past and present clients. Thank you for believing in us enough to take a chance on us. Thank you for the word of mouth. Thank you for the correction. Thank you for referrals. Thank you for sharing posts. Thank you for your allowing us to service you🫶🏾

Now it’s time to cut the ribbon ✂️ Now the model is set. Now the vision is complete.
