🚨 A proposed rule could eliminate federal financial aid for more than 90% of beauty, barber, and wellness schools — impacting students, schools, salons, and the future workforce of our industry.
If funding disappears:
❌ Students lose access to education
❌ Schools may be forced to close
❌ Professional staffing shortages grow
❌ Unlicensed work becomes a real risk
⚠️ The formula behind this rule does not reflect the reality of our industry. It ignores self-employment, measures earnings too early, undervalues career growth, and assumes traditional full-time work.
