UPDATE: MISSING WOMAN MAY BE TRAVELING BY TEAL E-BIKE AFTER VEHICLE FOUND IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY CANAL

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m., deputies with the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area near Indrio Road and Johnston Road in reference to a white 2018 Acura MDX discovered partially submerged in a canal.

The registered owner of the vehicle has been identified as Jennifer Fisher, 53, of Jacksonville, Florida.

Following the discovery of the vehicle, an exhaustive search of the area was conducted by our Aviation Unit, Drone Team, Dive Team, and K-9 Unit, extending into the night hours. Despite these efforts, Ms. Fisher was not located in the immediate area.

detectives have since learned that Ms. Fisher had planned to stay at an Airbnb for two nights, but the location of the Airbnb is unknown. It was also determined that she left Jacksonville with a teal-colored electric bicycle (E-Bike) secured in the back of her vehicle.

During the preliminary investigation, detectives noted that the E-Bike was not present in or around the vehicle at the crash scene, suggesting Ms. Fisher may have left the scene and could now be traveling by E-Bike. She was last seen wearing a black tank top.

Currently, Ms. Fisher’s whereabouts remain unknown, and her welfare is a matter of concern.
