For the most part, we are incredibly fortunate to have such amazing, kind, and understanding clients. We truly appreciate every person who chooses to support us and trusts us with their time and self-care. 🤍

That being said, every once in a while, we are reminded that no matter how much effort, communication, and accommodation we put into our services, we simply cannot please everyone.

And while we understand that mistakes and inconveniences can be frustrating, it is discouraging when one mistake or unexpected circumstance becomes the basis for publicly sharing a negative experience on social media rather than communicating directly with the business.

A gentle reminder about how our spa operates:

All of the therapists who work under Balance & Bliss Day Spa are independent contractors. While we are all part of the Balance & Bliss family, each therapist manages their own schedule and is responsible for their own availability. The front desk and the spa as a whole cannot always control an individual therapist’s circumstances.

Sometimes people get sick. Sometimes cars break down. Sometimes childcare falls through. Sometimes life simply happens.

We are human, too.

That does not mean we don't care, and it certainly does not mean we don't take our clients' time seriously. We do our best to communicate, accommodate, and find solutions whenever something unexpected happens. But occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may fall short.

So if you ever have an issue with a small business, I genuinely encourage you to reach out to them directly before taking it to social media. Give them an opportunity to hear you, understand what happened, and make things right when possible.

And, perhaps most importantly, give a little grace.

As service providers, we extend that same grace to our clients every single day. Clients cancel at the last minute, don't show up, arrive late, forget appointments, or have circumstances come up that are completely outside of their control. It can absolutely be frustrating, but we understand that life happens. We do our best to accommodate, communicate, and move forward with grace because we know that none of us are perfect.

We ask for that same understanding in return.

We love what we do. We love creating a place where people can relax, reset, and take care of themselves. We care deeply about our clients and the experience we provide.

One imperfect moment does not erase all of the care, effort, and good experiences that came before it.

And honestly… sometimes I wish therapists could leave reviews on their clients, too. 😂
