A letter to my clients:

There is a message I try so hard to convey to all of you every single time I tan someone new. (after your first tan, you know this, you know me) but I know that first tan can be SO SCARY. Just know, there are a lot more interesting and memorable things about you than your physical appearance. In fact, your physical appearance is what I care about the absolute least. I love y’all for so many reasons!!!! Your body is not one of them. If I’ve learned one thing in my years… we are all pretty much the same. We all have something we would change about ourselves, we all have something someone else DREAMS of having. But no single physical attribute makes us who we are. TO ME.. YOU ARE:

The *new client* that became a best friend in the first 3 minutes of knowing each other.

The mother who is finally doing something for HERSELF because she deserves it.

The listening ear that let me cry while spraying after I had a bad day.

The woman who has lived, loved, learned a lot, and is eager to give me little morsels of wisdom that I will carry with me forever.

The spontaneous, text me for a last minute tan, girl - the girl who inspires me to travel more and enjoy life.

The mother who took one look at me in the depths of motherhood and *knew* I was struggling and felt like I was definitely not doing as good of a job as I could’ve. The one who encouraged me and said “me too, it’s okay, you’re doing a great job”

The cancer survivor who kicked cancers butt and trusts me to spray over scars she earned along the way.

The cancer patient who is trying her best to stay optimistic during the scariest, most treacherous time of her life.

The woman in her 70s who makes me text my husband and say ”I just tanned ____, and I hope I will be like her when I grow up. She was soooo fun”

The mama of 3 who is WAY too hard on herself, the one I look up to and admire. I promise I’m not looking at your c section scar. I’m not looking at your stretch marks. I’m looking at you thinking “wow. how does she do it all? she’s amazing. I want to be like her”

The woman who never really wanted to be a mom, but is obsessed with her fur kids. Or traveling. Or collecting. Or music. I love hearing about the things you’re passionate about. I love hearing about the way you took paths less traveled by and created your dream life.

The woman who is struggling to get pregnant, the one who wants to be a mom so badly, I have been in your shoes. I’m here with you and I feel so lucky to be a part of the journey with you. Especially once those babies make their way here to earth and I get to tan you for your baby shower, your delivery, their first birthday party.

The high school student that simultaneously makes me feel old (lol) but also makes me feel a sweet sense of nostalgia. All my little sissies! I love watching you become amazing women little by little with every prom tan, cheerleading comp, homecoming.

To me, you are everything great in the world. The 30 minutes I spend talking with you, tanning you, hearing your stories.. it all fills my cup 🥰

There are so many of you who have trusted ME to be the FIRST person you told when you were getting married, you were pregnant, you were going back to school to pursue your dreams, you were filing for divorce, you were adopting a child, you had been betrayed, you had a new business idea, you met someone new. How lucky am I to have so many amazing conversations with so many amazing women every day?

Your body doesn’t matter to me. I have seen it all. I honestly don’t even really look anymore I’ve seen so many that they all blur together. But I see YOU. For YOU! And I love each and every one of you ❣️
