PARADE CANCELLED

“The weather is always unpredictable, but after a morning of consultation with our friends at the National Weather Service, various weather radars and our local public safety sources, it currently appears we will have showers up to heavy rain possibly occurring during this mornings parade time frame.

We must make a decision for our school bands and participants awaiting now to know the plan. We also must consider the safety of all involved.

We will go ahead and CANCEL this mornings Fair and Patriots Day Parade.

It is disappointing for us and all of the participants, but we must provide a decision for all participating and we appreciate your understanding.

This year’s fair kicks off at 5 pm nightly through Saturday September 19. We hope you will come out, enjoy the entertainment, rides and fair fun! It only happens once a year here.

So very sorry for today’s parade cancellation and please understand the extreme difficulty behind these decisions.”
