Seagrass Soap Co. is coming to downtown La Conner, Washington — and I couldn’t be more excited to share that we’ll have our very first retail space inside the amazing That’s Knot All!

I’m truly honored to have been accepted into this beautiful, curated artisan market, which has been a part of the La Conner community since 2012.

I’ve been working hard behind the scenes planning, creating, arranging, and figuring out exactly how I want our little Seagrass Soap Co. space to feel.

Is it perfect? Not quite.
Am I still working on getting it fully stocked? Absolutely.
But it’s ours, and seeing Seagrass Soap Co. in a real retail space for the first time is pretty special.

This little business has been built one bar, one batch, and one customer at a time — and this feels like such an exciting new chapter.

The finishing touches.

Every bar is made, cut and finished by hand in small batches. Before they are boxed up, I trim the edges of each bar by hand — smoothing the sharper edges and giving it a more comfortable feel in your hand from the very first use.

It’s a small detail and one that would be easy to skip. But it’s part of what handmade means to us: taking the time to finish each bar before it makes its way to you.

Sometimes the products we create start with simply seeing a need.

This wholesale order is especially meaningful to me.

I created this Lipedema Botanical Comfort Oil because I was diagnosed with Lipedema stage 2 and wanted to develop something thoughtfully formulated for myself and others navigating the everyday challenges that can come with lipedema — especially dry, delicate-feeling skin, friction, bruising and the discomfort that can come with compression garments.

I reached out to a doctor who specializes in lipedema and introduced my idea. We collaborated on the ingredients and today, I’m filling a white-label wholesale order so they can offer it to their own clients under their brand.

From an idea at my workbench…to a formula…to bottles being filled for a professional practice. That feels pretty special.

This is more than another product on my shelf. It’s a product I created because I saw a need — for those of us living with lipedema who face challenges every day, yet couldn’t find something specifically created with those needs in mind.

And now, seeing it go from an idea to a product being offered through a professional practice is incredibly meaningful. I’m excited to see where this journey takes it.

This was supposed to be called Twilight — a gorgeous blue soap with a gold mica line.

I added a fragrance known to turn yellow so I added a bit more colorant to compensate. As the soap developed, the outside turned a rich, dark brown… while the inside stayed beautifully blue with that touch of gold.

Right now, it looks almost like chocolate on the outside with a surprise of blue inside. 🍫

And honestly? I kind of love the unexpected luxury of it.

Now I’m curious… will the brown stay, or will the color continue to change as it cures? 🤔

But one thing is certain — Twilight no longer feels like the right name.

So I need YOUR help. 👇
