Barber Shop
************ Please Notice ***********
Sherry and I would like you all to know we appreciate the many well wishes for our retirement. Please know you will not be forgotten. We will be in the Barber Shop ( currently Louis’s Barber Shop ) Wednesday June 2nd, Friday June 4th, and again Saturday June 5th. Then we will “officially” start our retirement. We feel confident in leaving you in good Barber hands with Louis Abey. Stop in ... his intentions are to keep your shop like you are used to and later possibly extending earlier morning hours.
Again, we both thank you for the many years of Patronage and the many many fond memories and especially for sharing that time with us.
Sincerely,
Bob & Sherry Schubert
Thank you for your Friendship and Patronage for 38 years of Sherry’s Barber Shoppe. Sadly, it has become necessary for Sherry and I to retire. It comes with bitter/ sweet emotions, but most of you are aware that we have both experienced some medical problems in recent years and sometimes they dictate our futures. Please understand that you have made these years so enjoyable and memorable. We’ve shared good times, hard times, and some sad times too. We feel as though you have been family....
That being said, one of our most main concerns was that we make sure you, our Friends & Loyal Patrons have a Certified Barber and Barbershop that they could feel comfortable and confident for years to come. Sherry’s nephew ( Louis Abey) is a Certified Maryland Licensed Barber and will be taking over the shop and will be able to meet all your Barbering needs. The Building has been sold with the new owner leasing it back to Louis. So we are All excited that it will be a WIN/ WIN for everyone involved. You, the purchaser, Louis, and us. Sherry has been unable to cut with the tendinitis in her shoulders and arms, but she will be in here off and on and I will be cutting for awhile to help the transition.
Louis is trained ( 1 & 1/2 years Barber School) and very competent. He says he plans on keeping with the same casual comfortable atmosphere and plans are in effect to get back to the original hours. The reduction in hours has been mostly my fault... we had a two person operation cut to one operator for 12 weeks. We apologize for the delays and long wait periods during that time. Sherry and I again thank you very much for the years and the consideration you afforded us especially in these recent weeks. Louis is young, courteous, dedicated, and has been turning out some really nice haircuts. I’ve already received many positive reviews.
With sincere appreciation for each of you, thank you again,
Sherry and Bob Schubert

**** Update on Sherry
Sherry’s been improving daily, but still in a lot of pain. Her right shoulder & arm has had the most improvement so far. We both want to thank you for your continued prayers and well wishes. Patrons have told me they have her on prayer list at church... it’s appreciated. Also I want to thank everyone that’s been in the shop this past week for your patience and consideration you’ve afforded me. It’s been longer than usual wait times and at times waiting on porch or your vehicles with the weather has to be very frustrating. I understand and apologize. Hopefully it will be smoother this week, and Sherry can ASAP.
Thank you all ...
Bob & Sherry
We have not sent any friend requests nor have I accepte
D any recently... please do not accept any fom me or the Barber Shop ... thanks 👍🏻
**** PLEASE NOTICE ****
I’m going to be back in the Barber Shop starting tomorrow, but it will be a one man operation till Sherry recoops. She is doing some better but both shoulders, upper back, and arms are effected from severe Tendonitis and very painful with any movement. She is looking forward to getting back ASAP but please understand in the meantime there will be some longer wait times and even some temporary changes in hours. We both appreciate your patience and understanding.
Thank you,
Bob & Sherry

Update on Sherry - We just got home from Doctors, getting meds etc. Sherry has excessive Tendinitis of both shoulders, upper back, and arms with muscle spasms. She has medicines and has to take it easy and heal. Goes back in a week and hopefully doing better.
Sherry’s been having pain in her shoulders that has gotten excessive to even raise her arms. Going to Doctor in am. Unfortunately we will be closed a couple days but will re-open ASAP.
Thanks for understanding.
