Mother's Day is less than a week away and as a daughter, a daughter-in-law and a mother I am struck this morning with how incredibly special these relationships are. I am also struck with how incredibly lucky I am to have such a close knit family. Not only is my mother, Carol Smith an incredibly smart, talented, kind, generous, funny beautiful person, she is also my boss - which on most days is a great thing, but is also a relationship that many do not have the luxury to have.
