✨ Week 2 Complete | Braid to Bank™ Summer Intensive ✨

This week, we built on the precision parting skills from Week 1 and took things to the next level.

Instead of simply learning how to cornrow, we focused on elevating the craft by mastering:
✨ Stitch parting
✨ Feed-in braiding techniques
✨ My signature crisscross stitch braid style

The goal isn’t just to learn how to braid—it’s to develop skills that can eventually become a source of income. Every new technique expands the services you can confidently offer future clients.

During our Beauty Business Seminar, we shifted from technique to mindset. We explored what it means to think like an entrepreneur, identified characteristics every successful business owner should develop, and discussed why earning a cosmetology license creates opportunities beyond being “just” a braider.

A cosmetology license opens doors to provide multiple beauty services, expand your earning potential, and build a more sustainable career in the beauty industry.

The foundation has officially been laid.

This weekend, our Braid to Bank™ students kicked off their journey by:
✨ Learning the course expectations and what they’ll accomplish over the next five weeks.
🧰 Exploring their professional student braiding kits and becoming familiar with the tools and products they’ll use.
📏 Beginning one of the most important skills every braider must master—precision parting.

Every clean braid starts with a clean part. Before we jump into advanced styles, we’re building the habits and techniques that create confident, professional braiders.

Watching these future beauty professionals take their first steps reminds me why I created SBF Academy—to provide young people with real skills that can create real opportunities.
