Backwoods Botanicals

All dried, ground and ready to go!!! Wild lettuce and Mullien!!

Here we are back down at the Pearl, we are so excited that they extended the market through the end of October.

Feels nice to have a fire table night after the cold day of foraging!!

Foraging is truly my favorite!!

Where the magic happens😜🤣😍

Garden happiness!! Summer food prep is so important if you want to actually know what's in your food!! I ended up freezing the corn and some of the beets, dried the carrots and half of the beets. The dogs love beet treats, they are just sliced, parboiled dried beets.

Elderberries!! This is just 5 of the 19lbs of the berries we foraged, getting ready for syrup and jelly!! This is exciting!!!

Have you ever seen so many Mullein seeds?!?! Toby has put me to shame and collected millions, yes I said "MILLIONS" they are so tiny!! This is seriously AWESOME!!!

On our little foraging excursion yesterday we totally hit the mother load!! We found Comfrey, Mullien, broad leaf plantain, and the coolest moss ball I have ever seen!! My man is a heck of a forager, I am so proud!
