Update

Hi everyone,

I know my previous email brought some unexpected news. Thank you for your patience while I worked through what would come next. I’m writing this with a heavy heart because my time at Studio IX has come to an end, and I’m sad about how it happened. There were things I didn’t know were going on and feelings I didn’t realize people were carrying. Ben and I were excited about the possibility of purchasing the business, even though the process was incredibly stressful.

God works in mysterious ways. While we’ve been away in Boston, Ben (my husband, if you haven’t met him!) and I have worked tirelessly to find a way forward without disrupting your appointments.

And I need to tell you how much Leah and McKinley have done for me. While I was away, those girls were running around to salons, talking with people, and helping us find a place where we could keep taking care of you. I couldn’t have done this without them.

The hairstylist community has amazed me all over again. Leah, McKinley, and I were offered so many temporary places to work by neighboring salons. After a lot of conversation, hard work, and prayer, we felt that moving from one temporary space to another wouldn’t be best for you or for Leah and McKinley as they build their businesses.

So we’re taking a leap together. We’ve found a new home at Sola Salons!

I still dream of opening a larger space one day. We’ve looked at so many possibilities, but none has felt like the right fit yet. For now, I’m grateful we’ve found a place where we can land and keep taking care of you.

Thank you for bearing with me through all of this. I know this location may not work for everyone, and I gave that a lot of thought before making this decision. Your texts, calls, and kindness during such a difficult time have meant more to me than I can say.

I want to make this transition a little easier, so I’m happy to offer each of you 15% off during our move into this new chapter. I’ll reach out to each of you personally as we make this transition and share any details you need for your appointment.
