Doubledown Cosmetics was founded in Los Angeles, CA by husband & wife, Marvin & Kristen Speller. A brand created by a survivor for all survivors.
Doubledown Cosmetics is a Non-GMO, Organic, Gluten Free & Cruelty Free Cosmetic & Skincare Brand. Doubledown Cosmetics offers vegan cosmetics, skincare & cosmetic bags, as there is something for all consumers. Marvin & Kristen, founded the Domestic Violence Glam UP Program in 2012 and have partnered with local community organizations to provide not only makeovers, but education & resources for survivors on health & wellness, which begins from the inside. In 2021, Doubledown Cosmetics in conjunction with their Non-Profit, From Here to There LA, served the communities in several capacities. This past year, founders Marvin & Kristen Speller, were on the Street Team, significantly impacting the Domestic Violence and Unhoused Communities here in Los Angeles. Their hydration and sanitation drive reached over 500 of the Unhoused Veterans and provided our soldiers with sanitation supplies. They hydrated over 1000 men & women in both the Domestic Violence and Unhoused sector. In 2021, over 75 Glam UP Makeovers for Doubledown Cosmetics, were performed in Los Angeles County and The San Fernando Valley. Brand Mission:
Doubledown Cosmetics takes their community from victims to survivors, which represents the 1:1 equals 2, model as they Doubledown and get it done. They serve with purpose, creation, & color, while representative of all.

On behalf of my wife and I, we have now closed our beauty brand, Doubledown Cosmetics. This was a difficult decision due to many unforeseen circumstances this year. We want to thank all of you that supported us and our retail partners Walmart, Hellablack, Herbally Grounded and the retailers that onboarded us for later this year. We doubled down and got it done for 5 years as we are incredibly proud of our accomplishments in this industry. From our hearts, we thank you. ❤️

With Domestic Violence Awareness Month having come to close, we’d like to leave you with our closing post for the month regarding our own role as a mission led clean beauty brand.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Here at Doubledown we are committed to being more than a business.
As founded by husband and wife, Marvin and Kristen Speller, Kristen has since courageously come forward with her story as a survivor of domestic violence.
For this, Doubledown remains committed towards continuing to combat domestic violence and promote awareness all year round.
Nevertheless, it is valuable to celebrate October as the month of Domestic Violence Awareness. We hope to take this time to highlight educational information and resources for you and your loved ones.
