Hey y’all — just a quick little update.

As most of you know, I stepped back for the last few weeks of August while my dad’s health declined. Last week, he took his final journey, and I took a little time off after that.

And because apparently life wasn’t quite done with me yet … this week started with a holiday, a doctor appointment for one kiddo, and today I’ve got one home sick.

So, needless to say, my books are a HOT MESS and I am way behind on getting everyone rescheduled. I am working on it!

I’m working through my cancelled appts/reschedules first, so if you’ve sent a new appointment request or asked to adjust an existing appointment, I’ll get to those as soon as I get everyone who was cancelled/rescheduled taken care of.

And if you haven’t heard back from me, please know I’m not ignoring you! I’m just overwhelmed and trying to get caught back up after a really hard 4–5 weeks.

I appreciate y’all more than I can say. Thank you for the patience, grace, texts, messages, prayers, and just generally being awesome humans. 💜

I promise I’ll get everyone back on my books as quickly as I can. Thank you for hanging with me while I get my bearings back.

The salon is closed today. I’m not taking any new appointments or making adjustments to existing appointments for the remainder of this week.

I have a lot to catch up on after taking time off over the last few weeks, and I need a little time to get everything back in order. Thank you for understanding and for giving me the space to do that.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid = a forever staple in my routine

I know it’s marketed for skincare… but I use it for more than just my face.

Here’s why I keep coming back to it:

Scalp: one of my favorite little beauty hacks
• Helps break down dead skin that can lead to flaking
• Dissolves dry shampoo, hairspray, gel & product buildup
• Helps keep my scalp feeling cleaner and refreshed
• Supports a healthier scalp environment

How I use it on my scalp:
• Apply directly to scalp
• Massage in well
• Let it sit for about 10 minutes
• Shampoo + condition like normal

I only do this once a week because too much can dry out your scalp.

Van Zandt County has been home to me for 27 years. My husband and I have been blessed to raise our four beautiful children here, and this community has played such a big role in our lives. I’ve had the privilege of doing hair in this county for nearly 18 years, and it amazes me that D6 Design recently celebrated 7 years. What started as a dream has grown into something so meaningful because of all of you.

Some of my clients have been sitting in my chair for nearly my entire career, and those relationships mean the world to me. At the same time, I always love welcoming new guests into the salon and getting to know even more members of this community.

Spring Break Alert!

With my school-age kids on Spring Break next week, I will be closing at 3:00 PM
Tomorrow March 6th, for a short Spring Break / reset.

I’ll be open limited hours on March 11th; I will start responding to messages then. Normal operating hours will resume Tuesday, March 17th.
