For those who come in the salon regularly, you know that I was in Houston the past week, for a 5-day INTENSIVE event, surrounding my Trichology journey... And boy was it AMAZING! 🤩 👏🏾💪🏾 I will save ALL of the wonderful specific details for another communication... However, I do want to briefly address a few topics.

It just became REAL over the past several days, that I am about to travel down these LAST 6 months of my AAHSD curriculum and training!!! OMMMMMMGGGG 🤯 Over these next 6 months of my curriculum, I will be working intensely to obtain my OFFICIAL Certification as a FUNCTIONAL Trichologist, by this summer! I will be back and forth to Houston early summer, with Hands on work, Clinicals and subsequent testing-- both written and verbal-- and then CLAIMING passing and becoming certified!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

In continued preparation over the next SEVERAL months, you will continue seeing changes throughout the salon- some immediate and some gradual--including the revamping and updating of the service/pricing menu-- outlining what the services include, updated pricing-- based on the expertise, process and duration of services rendered-- specifically, all the things that go along with incorporating/implementing my Trichological education... It will NO LONGER look like what you're used to--- it will not look like what I'm used to... Nevertheless, it is NECESSARY.....

I can no longer "do hair" in the same fashion in which I started my cosmetology career-- I'm NO WHERE NEAR the same as when I first began... Annnnnd, I also can no longer "do hair" the way I was doing it prior to going to Houston THIS time around...

The lenses through which I see hair and scalp are continuing to change daily and therefore because I know that it is deeper than hair and I know that your HEALTH is connected to what is visibly presented on your scalp, I can no longer serve you on a surface level.

Everything that I do from this day forward, will be introducing you to a deeper understanding of your scalp and hair fibers. Then, if you decide that you are in need of further trichological services, you would then transfer over into a completely different type of service....That shifts me from a "Black Smock" mindset to a "White Coat" mindset.... They are NOT the same...

As a result of this change, I am already prepared and understand that I will lose some of you😕... I know and understand that just because I have a different understanding of what is going on internally and externally, with how it is ALL interconnected, everyone may not be ready for that conversation... and that is OKAY🙂.

I am just now very comfortable where I am in my understanding of knowing that I can no longer contribute to being a disservice to you, by doing things" like everyone else"... I am NOT like everyone else... I don't "just" do hair...I'm called to do more and that includes doing my part to ensure your scalp/hair health.

I have ALWAYS cared about you as a whole which ultimately includes your hair strands... However my mindset has been in a continual shift, ESPECIALLY since being in the Academy, to care MORE about you, your overall body and health. When that gets in alignment, when it comes into "homeostasis" or balance, your hair fibers and scalp health will follow... and that is what I'm here to do! I'm CALLED to do it 💪🏾

There are many who "joke" and/or make comments about me being "expensive"... And that is OKAY too! Although I'm actually NOT expensive.. I'll EMBRACE being different! 😜

What it actually IS though, is that I understand the value in what I have for you. Understanding value and worth will then give you revelation on "price and cost"... thus making it no longer be a question.

Understanding the cost that will come by ignoring signs in your hair/scalp by not being PROACTIVE ... Then WAITING and being REACTIVE....that's WAY more expensive than the bottom line in my salon.

YOU are WORTH more than basic...I AM WORTH more than basic... Period.

Now, that does not mean that maybe your budget just does not fit it at the time..., because TIMING is everything... I understand that very well! I will NEVER count your coins. Nor will I assume anything because everyone is different-- you know what you can and cannot afford... Just like I do...

All of this is just so you all understand, I can no longer dumb down or minimize what I know to do... My knowledge and continued education can no longer be "quinched" to fit into your budget and expectations... That's not beneficial to you or me... Therefore, that will no longer be the manner in which I operate.

When I say I "Love Hue (you) to life"... I mean all of you! In addition to that, I love ME.. the experience and the knowledge that I bring to you even more💕

So, stay tuned... More is on the horizon....

Just know 2024 is going to be GREAT year for us ALL... And the start of a NEW Era of Health and Beautiful HEALTHY Hair AND Scalp!💜💜💜
