14 months….

The first picture is after a fresh cut today. The second picture is from February of 2025 which is the last time we actually colored her hair.

Life gets busy and that’s okay! If you’re looking for something super low maintenance because you just can’t add anything else to your plate, I get it. I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on what I want my life to look like both in the salon and outside of it until I decided to ask God what He wanted for my life. You may have noticed my posts and stories have changed a bit. My focus now isn’t solely on creating beautiful hair, it now includes how I can serve each and every guest in whatever way God asks me to each day.

Sometimes that means I’m a listening ear, sometimes that means giving advice, sometimes that means handing you a book before you leave your appointment that I felt convicted to give you, or sometimes that means not saying a word and praying for you after you leave.

I’m not entirely sure what God’s plan is for this business of mine, but I can tell you that I’ve never been happier in my career than I am right now 🤍

Will my color fade?

This is a question I get asked frequently, especially with low maintenance styles. The short answer is yes and no.

If you’ve had your hair lightened, it won’t fade but you may notice the color changes over time. Why? Mineral build up and repeated heat exposure can alter the color of your hair over time.

Did you have your highlights toned? Toners typically only last 4-6 weeks before they start to fade.

Lowlights or permanent color instead? All color fades over time which is why it’s important to ask your stylist what you should be using at home to maintain your color.

Throwing it all the way back to the days of pin curls and you letting me do whatever needed checked off my list in cosmetology school 😂 Maybe they were on to something with the pin curls because the volume and curl is definitely giving “mob wives”. Love you and forever grateful for every season of life with you 🤍

19 years. For 19 years we’ve been building a friendship…

Weddings, births, deaths, victories, struggles and everything in between (Including the back and forth between bangs and no bangs 😂). It’s an absolute pleasure to call you my friend 🤍

I don’t believe clients are placed in my chair by chance.

The more women I speak to, the more I believe that each guest is placed in my chair for a reason. Whether it’s a lesson or perspective I needed to learn from them or perhaps there’s something they need to hear from me. Whatever that reason is, I hope you can find rest in my space and leave feeling lighter (and with beautiful hair too 😉)
