It’s hard to believe we’re getting so close to opening Beauty Collaborative Suites | Canton Suites. 🥹

This season has been one of the sweetest reminders that God is always working, even when we can’t see it.

After 15 years, losing Autumn Joy Salon was heartbreaking. I never imagined that chapter would end the way it did. But looking back, I can see God’s hand in every step.

What’s crazy is that back in 2008, my parents and I were going to open salon suites together. The market crashed, and we walked away from the opportunity. Instead, I opened Autumn Joy Salon in 2010.

Now, in 2026, God has brought that dream back around in a way only He could.

A sweet client mentioned an available space in River Green. I almost didn’t even look because I was sure it would be out of reach. But one phone call changed everything. God provided the perfect place, an incredible landlord who believed in us, and opened doors I never could have opened myself.

I’m also so thankful for my friend Kayla and everyone at Parlor & Main Salon for welcoming me these past few months. Kayla once worked with me, and now she graciously gave me a place to work while we built our new home. What a beautiful reminder that this industry is better when we encourage one another.

As we get closer to opening, my heart is just full.

God is so faithful. His plans really are better than ours.

As I look back over this season, I’m just incredibly grateful. Grateful for the clients who have driven across town, across counties, and even across the country to sit in my chair. What an honor it is to be trusted with something as personal as your hair and even more than that, your stories, your lives, and your friendships.

As we prepare for the next chapter and the opening of my new space, I’ve found myself reflecting on how much time I’ve spent worrying about things that never actually happened. I created so many scenarios in my mind, only to watch God faithfully work everything out in ways I never expected.

This morning I was reminded that the same God who tells the waves where to stop is the God who holds our lives in His hands. If He governs the oceans, surely He can be trusted with our future.

So if you’re carrying worry today, let this be your reminder: God is already there. He is in control of the trials, the transitions, and the unknowns. Our lives are a v***r, and so much of what steals our peace never even comes to pass.
