Lucy Kristine Bellas; was born this morning, April 25th (the perfect date - not too hot, not too cold, you just need a light jacket) at 1:04 in the morning. About an hour later, a heartbeat could no longer be detected. We were able to baptize her in an emergency right outside the womb. Fr. Dan will be visiting tonight, and all grandparents have gotten to see and hold her.

She only ever knew love and safety, and passed while being told continually that she is loved, she was never in any pain.

We have concluded that from the bridge of the nose up, she looks like Evan, and from the bridge of the nose down she looks like me.

I love you, Lucy, I’m sorry.

We will be playing The Black Dog by Taylor Swift (your favorite song) all the time in memory of you 🩷
