Throwback Thursday: a great curl transformation. Relieve weight & refresh curls!

This cut got rid of thin, stringy ends, while blending layers and creating more definition and more volume. It's amazing what a good curly cut can do!

Are you afraid of what bleach will do to your curls/waves? If done well, there's no need to fear. This is after a lightening session but simply washed with a cleanser only. No conditioner has been applied yet and still the hair is soft, shiny, and visibly healthy.

I never tire of seeing those smiles!!

My goal is never to look perfect all the time ... heck not sure perfect is ever the right word... but "put together". While I love showing you how gorgeous your curls and waves can be, I also wanted to show a bit of "real life" curls/waves. My hair really needs to be washed, I haven't worn a headband in years but I was playing with it this morning randomly and thought it looked cute....
Then while going about my day, we discovered that the bunny's cage gave out and there was a hole in the floor in his p**p corner. So quick scrambling trying to figure out
do i need to buy a whole new cage?
Where are my clips and pliers to just replace the floor??
Why did I get that floor wire, it's way too small?!?!?
So new mission for the day: get c-clips, pliers, and possibly wire for the cage floor .... I was off to try the feed store by Farm Fresh Beef & Produce ... I also really needed my milk and beef....
Then on the way up it hit me!
I have a client who raises rabbits!!!

"Hey... random question ... do you have ....?"
"Yup, come on over!"

While there was some stress today, it actually got me smiling, something I really needed after this past weekend. I felt like today was so wholesome. I do what I do as a part of a much bigger and amazing community of humans who each have amazing things to contribute and make this the best place to live and have a business.

And I don't care (she knew I would be posting this too, and I think she looks better than I do, lol) that i wasn't done up, was hot and sweaty, no makeup, headband on, dirty hair, and whatever

This ... right here .... is one of the MANY things I love about my clients, my business, and my life.

Old lesson, worth resharing. The products used were old DevaCurl, and so the only thing I would point out to update would be to use water soluble products for best results. Water soluble brands are: Innersense, Curly World (both I carry in my suite, I have an affiliate link for Innersense), NYC Curls and Raw Curls.
