✨ GLOWLAB SERIES: SKIN + COLLAGEN
Okay, this is where red light therapy gets a little glowy.
Red and near-infrared light may help support your skin’s natural cellular processes, including collagen production — one of the proteins responsible for keeping skin looking firm, smooth and healthy.
With consistent use, red light therapy may help support:
✨ Collagen production
🩷 Smoother-looking skin
💫 Skin elasticity
🌿 A more even-looking complexion
✨ Overall skin health + that healthy glow
And unlike a facial that only focuses on your face, GlowLab is full-body red light therapy — so your skin gets some love from head to toe.
Think of it less like a quick beauty treatment and more like something you incorporate into your regular wellness routine. Consistency is where it’s at.
15 minutes. Private. Self-serve.

🖤🖤🖤
This might be my favorite way to start the day. ❤️
Fifteen minutes at Glow Lab feels like a reset before the day even really begins.
I love thinking about how we can use little pockets of time like this to intentionally support our nervous system instead of automatically reaching for our phones.
You have 15 quiet minutes. Here’s what you could do with them:
Hum.
Yep. Literally hum. Try taking a comfortable breath in through your nose and slowly humming “mmmmmm” as you exhale. Repeat several times.
There is some really interesting emerging research here.
A 2025 pilot study found that both humming breathing and slow-paced breathing increased measures of heart-rate variability (HRV), which is associated with autonomic regulation. Earlier research also found that humming dramatically increases nasal nitric oxide compared with quiet exhalation. The research on humming specifically is still small, so I wouldn’t call it a nervous-system cure, but it is a fascinating, simple practice.
Breathe slowly.
Try this for a few minutes:
Inhale through your nose for 5 seconds.
Exhale slowly for 5 seconds.
Repeat.
That puts you around six breaths per minute.
A large systematic review and meta-analysis of 223 studies found that voluntary slow breathing increased vagally mediated HRV during breathing, immediately afterward, and following repeated practice. Another meta-analysis found slow-paced breathing produced short-term improvements in several cardiovascular measures and modest effects on negative emotions.
Visualize.
Instead of immediately rehearsing everything that could go wrong today, give your brain another picture to work with.
Close your eyes and ask:
What would it look and feel like to move through today without rushing myself?
Picture yourself getting ready. Walking into work. Having the conversation. Eating lunch. Driving home.
But imagine yourself doing those things present, grounded, and unhurried.
Mental imagery is an established area of psychological research, although the evidence varies depending on exactly how imagery is being used. Research on worry, for example, suggests that people who struggle with high levels of worry tend to experience more negative future imagery and less positive future imagining.
And then—do absolutely nothing for a minute.
No optimizing.
No achieving.
No productivity hack.
Just notice what it feels like to be in your body.
Maybe wellness isn't always about finding another hour in our already-full schedules.
Maybe sometimes it's learning how to use the 15 minutes we already have a little differently.
And for my fellow high-achieving women: rest does not have to be earned. ❤️
