Happy Monday!! It's first Monday of the year and I'm excited to share that Elena's Hair and Makeup studio is celebrating 7 year anniversary this year 🎉🎉 It's been a great journey so far and I would like to thank all of my wonderful clients for being a part of it 💖 Before moving to SW Florida last year I worked in Northern VA where I had a few hundred clients since I started freelance work in 2014. Working at fashion shows like DC Fashion Week and Beyond the Little Black Dress at the French Embassy was a part of this amazing experience. Planning all the details of the wedding day ahead of time is important. But when things that are out of our control happen it is also important to be able to adjust. This is why when I book a wedding I try not to book any other events on that same day so I can be there for my clients if they need flexibility

A few things to consider when you plan to get your hair styled for a big day
* Make sure it's clean and dry. 1st or 2nd day hair styles and holds best
* If your hair is naturally curly and you do not wish to keep its natural texture in your style, consider straitenning or blowing it out beforehand - it would save a lot of time on the day of the event
* If it's an outside event consider the weather. Up do styles last longer in hot/humid/rainy waether

November is the month we give Thanks. This year has been out of the ordinary for sure. While I worked much less than I would on a normal year I feel so grateful I was still able to go out and work with a few amazing clients on their big day.
