Yesterday we all saw a local business with four locations announce they’re closing immediately because of the economy and honestly it put me in a little bit of a funk. It made me sad and made me think about how hard it really is to run a small business right now.

But as I was talking to Matt about it last night on our way to church, he reminded me how much God has done in our business.

I’ve always just wanted to honor Him in all that we do at Fifty-Seven Third. I may be the face of the business, but God is the center and my girls and I are the heart that keeps it going.

We don’t have investors or a huge marketing budget. We don’t have every brand name machine, laser or piece of equipment. What we do have is hard work, prayer, faith and a team that cares deeply about our guests and their experience.

I pour countless hours into this business and continuing my education because I want our clients to feel educated and confident in the investments they make in their skin.

God has allowed us to grow into a team of 4 and this business has been able to support itself. Is it tiring? Absolutely (just ask my family!) But when I look at everything God has done, I just have to say thank You.

And you know what blows my mind? We have never spent a single dollar on marketing. Our growth has come from you BUT even that is entirely a God thing!

The experience people have when they walk through our doors, the relationships we build and the way they feel when they leave… that’s Him too.

We can work hard and pour our hearts into what we do, but ultimately God is the one who has allowed this business to grow.

One year ago today, Emma officially became part of the Fifty-Seven Third family, and I truly don’t know what we would do without her!

From the moment I interviewed Emma, I knew I wanted her on our team. There was just something about her that made me feel like God had aligned our paths for a reason, and one year later, I’m even more thankful that He did. 🤍

Emma is such a major part of what makes our team work. She is always willing to step in, help wherever she’s needed, and serve our clients and our team with such a willing heart. She keeps us girls going, fills in the gaps, and somehow always seems ready to jump in when we need her most.

And of course, we can’t forget that she is the QUEEN of spray tans! She’s always ready to serve up a beautiful tan, brows, or lashes and make our clients feel their absolute best.

The week of August 10th, our team will be serving at Restore The Wonder’s kids camp for children in the foster care system. We’ll be closed Tuesday, August 11th, with limited appointments available throughout the rest of the week as Taylor and Mariah’s schedules are nearly full. Walk-in brow waxes and tinting services will still be available during regular business hours.

Today we’re celebrating Mariah’s 3 year anniversary at Fifty-Seven Third!

It’s hard to put into words how thankful I am for her. Her dedication, loyalty, and passion for helping others feel confident in their skin have shaped this business in so many ways. Fifty-Seven Third simply would not be what it is today without her.

Watching Mariah grow over the last three years has been one of my greatest joys! She’s poured countless hours into learning, serving, encouraging our clients, and giving her whole heart to this business. Her love for skincare is genuine, and it shows in every treatment she provides.

Most of all, I’m grateful that we’ve been able to walk this journey together, trusting Jesus every step of the way. Through the exciting seasons, the challenging ones, and everything in between, His faithfulness has carried us.
