Today we had a field trip to neighboring Bisbee, Arizona and were fortunate to purchase organic persimmons from a local farmer. Are fruit tannins the new body odor reducer? We are up for the challenge. Tomorrow we will juice the persimmons and use the fruit juice in a new soap. Stay tuned!

If you are as fascinated with beautiful desert plants as I am the Ferocactus Wislizeri not only has an amazing name but catches the eye not to mention your pant leg! Also famous for it's sharp curved fishhook like spines it can grow up to 6-10 feet tall and 2 feet wide. This coming week we hope to collect the fruit from the Prickly Pear Cactus for the Cactus Flower Soap. The updates to the website are going well! # #

Exciting news! Getting ready to reopen in September and the website is under construction. Thank you all for your messages and calls. I gathered mesquite last evening for the Sonora Sun soap and couldn't wait to show you how beautiful it dried. The smaller jar is ground mesquite for a caffeine free coffee! We will be back soon!

Glorious evening and the sky was a heavy, deep blend of colors. The shop is coming along and I am excited about making new products. Sassafras has transitioned into the desert dog and stops to listen to the cattle. She loves to follow the scents on every walk. Her feet need some care and today I made a balm to ease the dryness of desert sand. We will check this out and let you know how it works. Enjoy the markets and swap meets!

If you have ever moved which was the most difficult part...packing or unpacking? I will let you decide! It is 105°, and occasionally we have much needed rain. Uhaul delivered on Thursday and with the help of my family we unloaded everything in 3 hours into the shop. The unpacking begins! # ❤️
