Wood/epoxy charcuterie boards in the making. Poured these all yesterday, today they have set enough that I can unclamp them. Once they have cured thoroughly, then the woodworking can begin.
Cedar protecting the home front. The deer would take off onto the woods, then come back. Cedar chased her into the woods, I thought she was going to run away, but she turned and charged Cedar, coming frighteningly close before finally making her escape. Cedar is a friendly dog, and just wants to play, but this deer wasn’t playing.

Ruth was coming home this afternoon and found this on our front door….
Here’s our newest hive, already orienting to their new home.
Ruth's brother sent us this video. We have a swarm trap set up along the drive up to his house, and it has lured in a swarm of bees. I'll go over there tonight after dark when the bees have all gone inside, close it up and swap it out with a fresh box. Tomorrow morning I will transfer them from the swarm trap into a regular hive, and they will have their own place in our apiary.
After a series of (mid)adventures, we’re finally set up and ready to go at the Wine and Arts Fest in Washington, Missouri. We’ll be here all weekend, so come on out and join the fun!
