Eager Eyes

Along a winding path of cypress and lemon trees, there are ruins of an ancient temple. Sticking out of the undergrowth is a large slab of stone covered in writing. Although most of it is unreadable, one phrase sticks out, “live without sorrow.” Placing your hand on the stone, you are transported back to the time of the ancients. Warm spices from the market mix with the Priestess’s scent of vanilla, and you can almost remember something ancient, something joyous.

Wandering through a birch forest, on a hazy afternoon, the sun peeks out from behind the heavy clouds to reveal a meadow of wildflowers.
