Big announcement! The long-awaited Downtown School Street paving project is set to begin Monday, July 6th, 2026. With any project of this type, there will be road closures and detours. The project phasing is set up so either Garfield or 1st Street will remain open. Provisions have also been made to keep access to East School St. Below is a map of phase 1, which is the closure of the First and School intersection. While we know this may hamper frequenting the businesses and establishments in the area, all downtown parking lots will remain open, and safe, accessible foot passage will remain to grab a bite, check up with friends while enjoying a beverage, or tending to financial or Healthcare needs. Be patient with us as we work to improve our quaint downtown district.
