In the world of Sacred Sexual Healing across the globe, one person has been vilified above all others. Speaking his name is akin to saying Voldemort at Hogwarts.

I reached out to Baba Dez, who has no idea I wrote this (sorry bud…once again I can’t afford to ask ahead of time, lest people say I too am corrupted beyond reproach) and personally I would feel …. well, how would I feel?

Let me play the devil’s advocate and say that despite Ista’s runaways success and the fact that Dez is the founding member, and its first creator, how can it be that such a monster ever succeeded in the first place, especially in the sexual healing field? In a video as old as a superold grey chihuahua, Dez soeaks of sleeping with at least 1000 women. In the following years this trend continues and I spent two years investigating this field of sacred sexuality and asking hundreds of people if anyone had a first hand account of Dez being a ra**st or evil narcissist. I could not find even one.

Dez has told me he made some bad judgments. So have I. Thank god I don’t YET live under such a tight microscope.

I never could see the cases against him that got him kicked out. It doesn’t matter now. The fact is we are doing the same thing we did in the middle ages by forever condemning one of our own to a life of Cain, forever cast out of one’s own true home.

Dez - if you are an evil monster - let’s all figure out a better way to create safety and transparency than public character assassinations to warn off people like we did with witches, like oeople still do by calling ISTA a cult. Anyone who gets big and pi**es off the public is a cult.

Know what a cult is to me? A system where one party gains while the other party gets hurt. Systematic abuse & extortion. It begins with our family of origin and we ourselves create it at work and everywhere else, because not one of us yet - I suspect - in this entire field worldwide doesn’t carry some sexual trauma themselves to add to this effluent mix.

I will say one thing directly to Dez -

I love you. I admire you. You have been nothing but open with me, and I should know. This is my area of expertise. Recently you told me I could have simply said No when I was experiencing something that happened to me and my wife last year.
——-It simply ain’t that easy, brother. I wish it was. The world would be a better place.

This field needs a much more advanced and Attuned deftness with which to deal with our clients or we will be screwed in the end, a durect result of screwing enough of them ironically enough. This field is in the midst of an awakening itself.

One of the greatest things in life is losing self-consciousness

When I grew up I was so shy that I never changed my hairstyle from 7th grade until I transitioned at 48. Then at 48 something broke inside me and I had to finally start living life in a way that represented the expression of life moving and welling up deep inside me. This feeling of freedom of expression became ecstasy and for the first time I no longer cared how others perceived me.

This has been the gift of transition from one shape to another. All of a sudden personal freedom existed in a space inside that had never known the exhilaration of true personal freedom and actual personal power. As I write this I am reminded of the simple truth of self-consiousness: I cannot truly know how the world will receive me. I have no way of knowing if someone will love me, laugh at me, make fun of me, revere me, or simply not give a damn at all. And it doesn’t matter.

When we come to the world with love in our hearts and we simply say “I am here. I exist and I have just as much right as you to take up space and be loud and be my authentic self” then the spell is cast and the world becomes a stage of true authentic expression where we get to live our lives our way as raw and real and vibrant as we see fit.

Breaking out of spiritual survival mode is the actual gift that is gained, where as souls in human form we finally get to live as soul rather than a human trying to survive in a tough world. And the world no longer seems tough. It becomes a place of love, for everything in life is a reflection of our inner world. The inner world of soul is love. I wish you the best on your journey.
