This sweet, gentle giant and I have sessions every single Monday. From our first session together to now is quite a remarkable difference. He has kissing spine so my approach has always been to relax his nervous system, let his body decompress into my hands each session. Wanting to retrain his fascia and muscles to go into a state of relaxation vs tense and tight all the time.
With a wonderful team surrounding him, from his trainers to working on rehabbing him under saddle and building muscle throughout his thoracic sling, his vets who always keep him sound and comfortable with cold laser, acupuncture, chiropractor, etc. to his farrier keeping him comfortable and supported, and to his owner who pours her whole heart into gathering his team to make him feel his best every month.

TTE is honored to be a small part of his team and we have a love fest after every session. It’s almost like his way of saying thank you 🫶🏼 he’s come so so far, this boy is honest, kind, and tries so hard. To see his muscles change, his posture, feel his fascia relaxing and relearning is an incredible experience. Here’s to every horses story, they are all different and our job is to listen. Beautiful things happen when you just listen. 🤍

6 months back to day 1. 🥹😭 his diet was solely alfalfa and grain when we got him. He was inflamed, dull, and puffy. I did two Minerals and Metals Mane tests on him. One right away and one 90 days later to gut check myself. His iron was through the roof, his potassium was sky high, metals all high, every mineral was out of wack. I added salt, did an herbal detox, removed all grain, swapped alfalfa for teff, and managed his foundation. It this doesn’t prove nutrition is KEY I don’t know what will.

Taking a dull, sad, inflamed horse and turning him into a confident, lean, muscled man. Training and building muscle is a part of this. It all starts with a foundation. Which we got right. Here’s to the next 6 months.

Most of you know I’m Certified in Equine Nutrition, what I haven’t told you is that I’m back in school to become an Advanced Certified Equine Functional Nutrition Practitioner with 🤍 I love to learn and nutrition has quickly become my favorite thing to study and work through.
