We are celebrating our anniversary of 15 years of being Shear Karma. We would love to send gratitude to everyone who has been in our space and enjoyed our services, our events, and building a community all around us.
I started Shear Karma in 2011 wanting to make a difference in the world and in the salon industry. I knew that there are a lot of chemicals that are being used in color and hair products, and I wanted to make a difference knowing that there are better products out there that are safe for the hairdresser, the client, and the Earth. I partnered with Innersense knowing that they too have the same values and beliefs, that we can still be beautiful and take care of ourselves and the Earth at the same time.
When I started Shear Karma, I was in a small studio, just one chair, and then grew into a bigger salon. What I realized is that everyone really enjoyed the smaller, more intimate space when I had it smaller, so I redirected those efforts and created a better space for everyone.
My core values are about love, connection, intimacy, joy, and partnership, and I am so proud that I created all of that with Shear Karma. It took a while for me to be able to build that space for everyone to flourish, and just this spring I created it: all of the abundance of health of the hair, the Earth, and our well-being.
I expanded Shear Karma not in the salon space but in the wellness space. We are Shear Karma holistic hair salon and holistic healing. So I welcome you to join us and see why we are different in the community, and be able to see and experience what our core values are.
