This space has always been a place to feel safe, warm, and welcoming to everyone who walks through the door. My chair is a place to breathe, be yourself, and feel cared for, no matter what’s going on outside these walls.

I don’t usually speak on big national issues here, but lately my heart has been heavy. It’s been hard to show up every day, run a small business, and carry on like everything is normal when so many people are hurting. Behind every headline are real families and real lives.

In moments like this, I keep coming back to something simple: we all need more kindness. To our neighbors, to strangers, to the people sitting in my chair or standing next to us in line. Everyone deserves safety, dignity, and basic human rights, and we all share a responsibility to protect and defend those rights.

If you’re feeling grief, worry, or exhaustion right now, you’re not alone. Let’s look out for one another, support our local communities, and add a little more compassion wherever we can.
