Angie’s Safer Solutions Counter

Because my family has lost so much to cancer, first with my breast cancer diagnosis and then with loosing my mom to Multiple Myeloma, I am joining forces with 50 other women to raise money to support research grants going to women researchers in Indiana for projects to help them combat cancer.

I wish there were more research for my mom's rare cancer diagnosis that was left untreated for many years until the diagnosis came to late. More research needs to go into understanding hers and many other cancers.

Researchers can not do it alone and need grants to fund their efforts.

May 12 is Mother's Day

Today is . Who knew we needed a day to compliment someone. Who thinks it is harder to receive a compliment than to give one. I have to try not to reply to a compliment on clothing etc with the sales pitch on where I purchased an item on sale, because I love sharing a good sales story. Maybe today is a reminder to simply accept the compliment with the joy it was given with a simple Thank you. ~Breaking news from D.C. ~
The House will hold the first committee vote on a cosmetic bill in 82 years on March 11.

The Cosmetic Safety Enhancement Act will be voted on by the committee next Wednesday, March 11. Last December, Gregg, our founder of Beautycounter, spoke before the same subcommittee, encouraging Members to support giving the FDA more authority to oversee personal care products.
