Amanda adopted Millie, a 6‑month‑old German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix, from Heaven After Hell Rescue in February 2025 — and life hasn’t been the same since. Millie is the kind of puppy who tries to sneak out the door to go to work with her, and who drops toys in her lap mid‑TV show or crochet session demanding playtime. She’s a big derp with an even bigger heart, and she LOVES everyone she meets.

What made the experience unforgettable? The people. Heaven After Hell was warm, personable, and truly caring. Millie’s foster mom still keeps in touch, and the whole team made the adoption process feel thoughtful and full of love. Millie is pure joy — and Heaven After Hell helped her find exactly where she belongs.

Lindsey’s journey with Heaven After Hell Rescue has been full of sweet moments, chaos, and the kind of love only rescue dogs bring. She first fostered Harold the Hound in late 2017 — a gentle, lazy sweetheart who pawed at her for treats. Then came Banjo and Kazoo in the summer of 2018, two tiny tornadoes of puppy energy. Kazoo went on to live her best life in Chicago (and kept her name!), while Banjo became a foster fail and stayed right by Lindsey’s side. He’s still her snuggliest, most emotionally in‑tune dog.

Heaven After Hell Rescue has brought so much love into Lindsey’s life — from foster chaos to soul‑healing companionship — and she’s forever grateful for every dog they’ve placed in her path.

Rosie (formerly Frosty) came into my life in the winter of 2021 through Heaven After Hell Rescue , and she was exactly what my heart needed. I had just lost a dog, and Rosie—at around 8 years old—filled that empty space with laughter, snuggles, and the sweetest spirit. Although she’s since passed, the memories we made are ones I’ll cherish forever. She truly was one of the best dogs I’ve ever known. I’m endlessly grateful to Heaven After Hell for bringing her into my world.
