HISTORY:

In 1996, after ten years working as a stylist for other salons, Micki Stirsman and her husband, David, founded Salon 01 along the North Meridian corridor in Carmel, Indiana. Compelled by a desire to create a salon environment where staff would enjoy coming to work, be exposed to the best available education, product selection, and innovative technology, Micki began assembling what has become one of the finest professional teams of hairdressers in the Midwest. Along the way, the original salon space doubled and additional services were added to facilitate a full-service salon. Since moving into our new facilities in 2007, we continue to help set the trends. We’ve established several distinctions as we strive to stay on the cutting edge in style and technology. We were recently named one of the "Top 200 Salons in America" by Salon Today Magazine. We are proud to be members of the distinguished Intercoiffure America/Canada and The Salon Association (TSA). We have been rated by Indianapolis Monthly Magazine as one of the top salons in Indianapolis. We have been featured in Elle magazine for "The Best of the Best" and as one of the country's "Best Color Salons. We have enjoyed being the stylists for the 500 Festival Queen and her court the past few years. MISSION:

Our mission is to provide you with the best salon experience possible. To achieve this, we stock only the best products and sell them because we believe in them. We strive to make you feel good about yourself by helping create the image you desire. By achieving this goal, we live up to our motto as “the one salon for men and women.” We believe in a commitment to education for our staff in order to offer consistent high quality. At Salon 01, we remain client-focused and attentive to the growing needs of our guests by consistently offering the quality services, adopting new trends and technologies, hiring the country’s best educators for staff training, and improving our retail products. We believe that our stylists and technicians achieve their highest potential when ongoing education for continual improvement is a focus in their careers. We strive to hire the best talent available and enroll each of them into our demanding apprenticeship program to refine their technical and social skills. Only after successful completion may stylists begin accepting guests by appointment. We believe in supporting our staff and working hard to prepare them to do their best work on your behalf – our valued guests. WHO WE ARE:

We are committed to excellence. We strive to exceed your expectations with every service and every product. We believe in enhancing our relationship with you by introducing you to many of our team members, hoping you will feel comfortable visiting any stylist or technician based on appointment times that are most convenient for you. We are currently striving to become a French haircutting salon, which is a method we believe provides the most consistent results. We think you’ll notice the difference from your very first visit. We encourage our staff to share their educational experiences with you, and encourage you to ask questions about what is happening at Salon 01 where there is always something new. We love to tell you about our techniques, products, services, and community involvement. We know you have many choices where you can receive similar services.
